17th Hong Kong Green School Award |

"We are very pleased to announce that our school has won the 17th Hong Kong Green School Award (Gold Award), organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee. The award ceremony was held on November 12, 2019 at the Productivity Council. The judging panel was impressed by our school's dedication in promoting environmental education to both the students and the public. We shall continue to foster sustainable development in SPCS."

Champion
of the 5th Hong Kong Green School Awards |

We are very pleased
to announce that our school has won the champion of the 5th Hong Kong Green
School Award (Secondary School Division), organized by the Environmental
Campaign Committee. The award ceremony was held on December 20, 2005 at
the Olympic Square in Hong Kong Park. Our school was awarded with a cheque
for $60, 000. The money was used to set up an Environmental Education Centre
at our school. We were also presented with a set of the mascots for the
2008 Summer Olympics Games. |

We are happy to announce
that our school has been awarded the Silver Award in the 1st Hong Kong Energy
Efficiency Awards, organized by EMSD, in recognition of our effort in conserving
energy. |

Environmental Award Scheme cum Student Environmental Protection Ambassador
Scheme Competition |

On October 3, 2006,
three of our students and two of our teachers attended the Award Presentation
Ceremony for the Schools Environmental Award Scheme cum Student Environmental
Protection Ambassador Scheme Competition. This year, we are very honoured
to have received awards in three categories: |

a) Our school received
the School Honours Award, in recognition of our outstanding work in environmental
protection over the past year. |

b) Mrs.
Mabel Cheung was chosen as one of the ten Most Outstanding Teacher in Environmental
Protection, for her contribution in environmental conservation activities. |
| |
c) One
of our F.7 students, Vincia So, was chosen as one of the Most Outstanding
Student in Environmental Protection. Earlier in the year, she participated
in a cultural exchange programme to Xingjian with the other recipients from
other schools. |

UNESCO Experimental School |

Under the guidance and rationales of China National Working Committee for UNESCO and the related spirit of sustainable development, Experimental Schools will continue to be implemented in all areas of China. Every year, UNESCO China will receive applications for ESD Experimental Schools from all regions in China. After local assessment and endorsement, certificates will be presented to successful schools by China National Working Committee for UNESCO on ESD.? SPCS was glad to be the one-and-only-one Hong Kong School to received the honour of an experimental School |

Sustainable Development School Gold Award

Being an active participant in environmental protection as usual, our school had taken part in the ˇ§Sustainable Development School Award Programmeˇ¨. Thanks to the collective efforts of Paulinians, Teachers and Parents, our school was honored the Gold Award at the Prize Presenting Ceremony.
The Sustainable Development School Award Programme, which is organized by the Council for Sustainable Development, aims to encourage students to carry out sustainable practices in daily lives and to influence their families as well as the local community. Awards are conferred to schools which fulfill their commitment to promote sustainable development.
The Gold Award affirms our schoolˇ¦s commitment and undoubtedly, we shall continue to support sustainable development in Hong Kong! |
