In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, our Junior Choir was invited to participate in the “Next Generation Chorus Performance,” where 1,000 students sang patriotic songs on site. The event, organized by the Tourism Commission in collaboration with East Union Foundation Limited, took place at Art Park in the West Kowloon Cultural District and commenced at 8:30 PM.
The performance featured a diverse array of youth group presentations that showcased the country’s achievements through three themes: “Standing Up,” “Growing Prosperous,” and “Becoming Strong.”
The show was broadcast live on RTHK TV 32, China Central Television, HOY TV, Now TV, Phoenix TV, TVB, and ViuTV.
After hours of practice and rehearsals, our Junior Choir, alongside students from various secondary schools, sang beautifully and performed meaningful gestures that enhanced the songs. These gestures added depth to the performance, conveying emotions and stories that resonated with the audience.
Through this experience, our students not only honed their musical and performance skills but also learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and the power of expression. They developed a deeper appreciation for their cultural heritage and the values of unity and patriotism. Our Paulinians truly enjoyed this enriching inter-school chorus experience.
