From January 20 to 27, 2025, Rev. Sister Margaret, Mrs. A. Fong, and Miss J. Au, along with three students from 2P, Shanice Ng, Jasmine Wong, and Shiloh Wong, visited the UK for the annual British Educational Training and Technology (BETT) Show. BETT 2025 attracted over 35,000 educators, policymakers, and industry leaders, featuring more than 600 EdTech companies and 300 speakers from 130 countries. This event is pivotal in fostering connections, collaboration, and dialogue within the education technology sector.
During the BETT Show, our F.2P students showcased their award-winning performance of “Marty Dance”, receiving positive feedback. Additionally, Miss Au and the students also demonstrated how the Promethean Interactive Whiteboard can enhance teaching and learning in geography lessons.
Led by Rev. Sister Margaret, we also visited three schools, where we explored opportunities for exchanges and collaboration. The students had the chance to participate in various lessons, and we were delighted to reconnect with former students at St. Catherine’s School for Girls in Bramley, Surrey.
Beyond the BETT Show and school visits, our students enjoyed excursions to the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, and the National Gallery. To cap off the trip, we gathered with alumni and our former junior choir teacher, Ms. Carol Lee, in Chinatown for a delightful “Yum Cha” experience. They also got to try iconic British dishes like fish and chips, as well as English breakfast.
These visits not only provided our students with enriching experiences but also significantly strengthened our international connections with UK schools and alumni. The interactions and insights gained will inspire our students and faculty alike, fostering ongoing collaborations that enhance our educational community.
