The Lunar Base Design Competition 2025 was organized by the Global Engagement Office of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Viana Wong of F.3S, Renee Leung and Jenny Wang of F.3T, and Katherine Liu and Hilary So of F.3P participated in this prestigious competition. On 31 May 2025, they were awarded the 2nd Runner-up Award for their innovative proposal, “Lunar Base Design: Robotic Construction Base with Sustainable Energy System,” which enables rapid, autonomous deployment on the Moon while minimizing astronaut exposure to harmful radiation.
