As the holiday season approached, the St. Paul's Convent School community came together in a spirit of joy on 19 December 2024, to celebrate our annual Christmas Mass and Programme. We were honoured to have Fr. Joseph Everson celebrate the Mass in the Christ of the King Chapel. In his inspiring homily, Fr. Everson reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas and encouraged us to bring joy to those around us. This year also marked the 25th Priesthood Anniversary of Fr. Everson.
After the Mass, the prefects guided students to the School Hall, where the Christmas Programme unfolded. This exciting programme featured a variety of performances and festive activities. We had a Christmas drama show that reminded us of the love of God and our families, along with a lucky draw and the presentation of awards, especially for the winners of the Choral Speaking and Harmonic Speaking Competition of the 76th Hong Kong School Speech Festival. These events showcased the joy of the season and the talents of our Paulinians. The uplifting melodies of traditional Christmas carols filled the air, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
As we concluded our celebrations, we invited all members of our school community to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas—sharing kindness, joy, and love with one another. May the warmth and spirit we shared during this celebration continue to resonate within our community throughout the year. We look forward to creating cherished memories together that embody the essence of Christmas.
