Class Activities - Story-telling Competition
Aim: Promote reading culture and enhance presentation and communication skills as well as building self-esteem, support and acceptance as well as to arouse the interest and fun of reading.
* Story telling in reading lesson(s) / school reading time
* Teachers help to identify best story teller from each class
* Identified best story teller from each form/class can do their story telling/short drama, or role play from an extract of the book they plan to introduce to school in a story telling corner or podium ( suggested areas: resting area near the main staircase, corners in the Covered Playground, Dance Studio, Study corner) every Friday lunch. This activity could be done on the first Wednesday of every month during assembly when students are comfortable after getting used to the sharing culture.
